Definition of Stewardship

Stewardship is the lifestyle of one who accepts Christ's Lordship–walking in partnership with God and acting as God's agent to manage His affairs on earth.

Department Mission Statement

The department exists to emphasize the lordship of Jesus Christ by enhancing the integration of the gospel into the Christian lifestyle through encouraging faithful stewardship of individuals, leadership and church organization. 

Department Vision Statement

”Faithfulness by all in all”

As we accomplish our vision, the following hallmarks of success will characterize that success:

  1. A growing and consistent vision of biblical stewardship.
  2. A growing staff of church stewardship leaders.
  3. A strong team of “grass root” stewardship educators and promoters.
  4. An increasing ownership of the stewardship ministry in the local churches
  5. Materials that will help pastors lead their members in a more integrated Christian walk.
  6. Growing individual and corporate faithfulness.

This vision will be accomplished through a combination of education and modeling as we focus on training stewardship leaders and cooperating with church leadership across the division. The primary ingredients will be:

  1. Expanding the biblical philosophy of life and ministry with careful attention to faithful stewardship in our partnership with God.
  2. Training personnel on each ministry level in spiritual formation (discipleship) and stewardship education.
  3. Developing resources to strengthen the wholistic approach to stewardship.
  4. Continuing implementation and further development of the stewardship certification as an ongoing process within the Stewardship Department, as well as the refinement and enhancement of the stewardship curriculum.

Department focus

The Stewardship Department will have the following prioritized focus:

  1. Develop Christocentric stewardship-training materials and apply the Pareto Principle to implement the training.
  2. Explore and utilize the most appropriate, efficient and cost effective strategies to transmit stewardship principles to members.
  3. Develop and implement a uniform offering plan for ECD.
  4. Develop a Stewardship Entrepreneurship Certification Program to equip our financially disadvantaged members with the principles of entrepreneurship thus assisting our poor members generate more income.
  5. Incorporate principles of biblical financial management in our training to assist our financially endowed members in managing God’s money.
  6. Fine-tune the data collecting and reporting system ensuring accurate data is provided.
