“Building Bridges of Hope” is the mission statement of the East-Central Africa Division Communication Department. This is accomplished by reaching the diverse church audiences, both within and externally, with a communication program and through the use of contemporary technologies. The desired effect is to create a favorable image of the church, its mission, life and activities, and witness that many will become followers of Christ and become members of this, His church. All functions of the department are to be expressed in the context of the church’s strategic issues of unity, growth and the quality of life.

To create a favorable image of the church, it’s mission, life, witness and related activities by using the most effective means of communication.

Encourage professional continuing education for division communication directors
Conduct Crisis Management Training for administration of the church and institutions
Provide crisis consultation to the divisions
Establish media relations with secular media
Connect with community based activities for world headquarters
Continue to implement world church corporate identity globally
Deliver current news and information through ANN bulletin, Ground7News/podcast, and Web site
Involved in media productions and communication resources
