Mission Statement:

AWR’s mission is to broadcast the Adventist hope in Christ to the hardest-to-reach people groups of the world in their own languages.

Our Purpose:

Adventist World Radio is the mission radio arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We use shortwave, AM/FM, satellite, and Internet broadcast to carry the gospel to people who are difficult to reach because of political restrictions on religion, cultural barriers to Christianity, and geographic barriers.

Organizational Structure Particularly Africa Region:

Staff are located at region offices in Africa, Asia, and Europe, while activity in the Americas is managed through a partnership between AWR headquarters in the United States and the Adventist Media Center in Brazil. In Guam, AWR owns four 100 kilowatt shortwave transmitters which broadcasts programs throughout Asia.

Program partner studios, which produce programs for airing by AWR, are located in Adventist union and mission offices around the world.
