East-Central Africa Division

Despite being on weekdays, thousands of eager and attentive church members are flocking the meetings organized by Pastor Ruguri in East Africa Union, with the agenda of revival and reformation. " In order to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit to finish this work, we have to unite, pray and study the Bible", said Pastor Ruguri in his second day of meetings in Meru-Moyale station.

The meetings scheduled to run until the 29th of January, will see the leader of the adventist church in this region through a round trip ending in the Kenya Coast field. The Media Center team of the Division is accompanying the president to document the life of the church at grassroots. Most people are surprised and delighted to host a leader of that level in the church administration in their local churches.

Sermon by Pastor Blasious Ruguri, ECD President

“We are Kings is a special sense". These were the opening remarks of the Adventist Church Leader in East and Central Africa region in his key note speech to the head office workers, this year. We have made claims as a church, which will lead people who are seeking for solutions to us. We will soon draw attention of secular kings.  Pastor Blasious Ruguri in a sermonette that lasted about 40 minutes, started with anecdotes of current world events to summarize the fact that the year had started with both hope and hopelessness.
There is no promise of better things anywhere. Underneath democracy is a tirade of evil, Pastor Ruguri said. Having just come from South Sudan the newly formed country of Africa and East-Central Africa Division (ECD) of the Adventist Church; the leader underscored the fact that while just beginning, South Sudan is already faced with challenges of corruption and tribalism, most probably borrowed from surrounding countries.
We have made claims as church, which will lead people seeking solutions to us. We will soon draw attention of secular kings. Reading from the book of Daniel 2:46, Ruguri explained that Nebuchadnezzar fell before Daniel and said an offering be made to him, for revealing the mystery dream.

A crowd of over ten thousand people from all walks of life gathered in Jubilee hall in Dar-es-salaam, the port city of Tanzania to witness a live performance of Ambassadors of Christ Adventist Choir, from Kigali Rwanda. The famed choir had earlier on in the year been involved in tragic road accident after a visit to Tanzania, in which three members of the choir lost their lives. This grizzly accident claimed the lives of 2 on the spot and one thereafter in hospital, and 4 other  members  injured. The concert was organized to partly raise money for the treatment of the ailing members of the choir.
